Canon Digital Photo Professional not yet supported for Snow Leopard

Response from Canon Customer Service Ė Iíll update this once the problem is resolved. At the moment Canonís Digital Photo Professional DPP doesnít allow updates of preferences under Snow Leopard without crashing. It is a known bug but not posted anywhere on Canonís site to my knowledge.

Apple has released Digital Photo Professional 3.7.3 Updater for Mac OS X. This update deals with some previous incompatability issues but still does not guarantee the software will work in Mac OS 10.6 environments.

Here’s the solution

download the attached

Place it in ~/Library/Preferences/ overwriting the old one. Then start DPP, go to preferences and setup to taste.

Remember to go specifically into the HD and replace file there.
