A great change of pace for both flavor and the pocketbook. It is absolutely an upscale Mexican restaurant, and prices are reasonable. We asked for and received one of their deep, round booths for two, even though next to us they sat eight in the same size booth. Margaritas are very good with fresh squeezed lime if that’s your preference; the food is exceptionally flavorful with only one caution, ask about spice levels before ordering just in case. The queso fundido with chorizo was some of the best we have ever had, with the chorizo adding flavor, not unnecessary spice. The beef empenadas, on the other hand, were very spicy, just beyond our ability to handle safely (even though the waiter offered graciously to bring glasses of milk to sooth the palate). For the main meal we had great enchiladas and short ribs and both were flavorful and satisfying, especially when accompanied by very good refried beans and rice. We paired the meal with both red and white sangrias which were good matches to the food. Dessert was a pair of tropical fruit sorbets which also hit the mark. A plus in the dining room for us is a fairly energetic soundtrack which fills the room with a party atmosphere, which in this case seems very appropriate for the environment. Link
